There are a few famous/infamous people I have met.

Serena Akeroyd

My favorite moment was meeting my favorite author Serena Akeryod earlier this year. I got to go to my first reader’s event. She was there signing merch and books. She is such a beautiful soul. Always has a smile and a hug for those around her. She is also hilarious. Meeting her was truly a dream come true, and I hope to get to see her again in the future.

I love her books because they create a place for the reader to live and characters for them to love. Her books make me laugh, cry, laugh until I’m crying, and fall in love.

Blake Shelton

I met Blake Shelton before he hit it big. He played a concert at the Grizzly Rose in Denver. After the concert, he stuck around for a meet and greet. I had him sign my shirt, and my best friend had him sign her underwear.

Brian Bonsall

However, the one I’ve had the most interaction with is Brian Bonsall. We went to high school together for about a year, and one of my best friends dated him for a short period of time. I don’t remember a whole lot about him. He seemed like a nice kid at that time. I was doing a lot at the time that had nothing to do with high school or that particular friend. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the same place.

I do remember that we had all seen Blank Check, and knew him from that. Once we met him, we found that he had been in a couple of other movies, and some TV shows. One of the movies he was in was Mikey which was a horror film. We decided we needed to see it. And that started a trend of the group of us getting together, dropping acid and getting high, and watching horror movies. We had a blast, but also some interesting outcomes. I don’t really advise following our lead.

I haven’t seen or talked to Brian since around 1995. I heard through the grapevine that he had some trouble, and that he later joined a band. I hope he is well.

Others

I have met many authors. Even some who have made their books into movies. I’ve shook the hands of a few country stars. I’m sure there are more that I am forgetting. But these are a few that stand out in my memory.
