I don’t have a specific location in mind. I love Colorado and have said many times that I wouldn’t want to live anywhere but here. However, as I get older, I hate the cold more and more. I’ve never been a big fan of being cold, but my joints, and my back, become painful in the cold. That makes Colorado winters very hard on my body.

I want sandy beaches. I want a stable temperature in the 70’s – 80’s. And, I want out of America. I love what my country is supposed to be. I don’t love what it is, and what it looks like it will continue to become. I need to live somewhere where I am free to make choices about my own body, where people are free to love who they love, be who they are, and practice (or not) the religion of their choice.

I was considering Belize for a while and had even started a plan to make that happen when my kids finished high school. However, the friend I was going to move to be near moved to Mexico instead. So, now I am considering other warm climate areas.

I am open to suggestions for warmer climate countries with a more liberal-leaning government if you have any ideas. I will certainly be spending the next few years doing my research so that I can choose a place that will be right for me.
