If you look at Goodreads, you’ll find an extensive list of anticipated romance book releases for December 2023. At the time of writing, the number one on the list is Sable Peak (The Edens #6) by Devney Perry. It is an unrequited love, small-town romance featuring Vera, a woman looking for normal.

My choice(s) for the most anticipated romance release of the month

I am highly anticipating two releases happening in December. Ok, let’s be honest here. I am anticipating more than two. But there is definitely a tie for my number one.

Lodestar by Serena Akeroyd is an omnibus of the ‘Filthy Feck’ duet – it includes a never-before-published novella! If I am candid, I will admit that anything Serena Akeroyd writes will end up on my kindle, and eventually on my bookshelf. I love her storytelling, and Connor and Lodestar are a favorite couple of mine. I’m excited about the new material. This book has a release date of December 21st, and I can not wait to add it to my collection.

I’ll Be Home… by Tate James and Heather Long didn’t even make the Goodreads list, but it most certainly makes mine. Both of these authors are goddesses at their craft and fantastic at world-building. This book is a dark reverse harem, and readers are encouraged to read the forward before beginning the book. Both of these authors tend to skew towards the darker side, so if you’re not comfortable with that, or have some triggers, I would agree that you should read that forward. They say you can never go back… I can’t wait to see what happens when she does. This book has a release date of December 24th, and will make the perfect Christmas day read, at least for me!
