A quiet morning that starts whenever my body decides it is time to get up. Probably sometime between seven and eight, just because I’ve been conditioned against sleeping in.

Coffee on the porch with a good book.

A long bath with Epsom salts. Since this is my ideal day, we can pretend the water never cools. Finish the bath with a shower, face mask and shaving.

Follow that up with lotion and a pedicure.

Back to the porch for more reading, and some people watching.

An hour or three spent painting.

More reading.

Guess I should eat in there somewhere. So, some comfort food. Maybe my mom’s soup. Some cheese and crackers while I’m reading.

Honestly, I just want some quiet time alone. Allowed to follow where the day takes me.

What is your ideal self-care day? What little self-care thing do you try to squeeze into your daily life?
