My family has had an extremely rough few months. Job loss, health issues, stolen cars, and unemployment that just won’t kick in. It has been a lot.
Our bank account isn’t just crying anymore, it is just plain empty. Credit cards are maxed out. We are at the end of the rope.
After a conversation with my dear friend, Rhonda, she asked my permission to set up a GoFundMe for my family. She knows that we would never ask for help. That my husband and I will just keep marching on, drowning in our inability to take care of the family. Once she had it set up, she made the first donation.
She has been facing a whole heap of her own troubles with family, health, and finances. But today, she took the time she really didn’t have to help my family and me out.
I can’t begin to explain how much it means to me that she went out of her way, and at an inconvenience to her, to help us.
Unemployment should be kicking in in the next couple of weeks. My husband has some good leads on jobs, now that he is at a point in his recovery that he can return to work. We will make it through this. But having Rhonda take the time to give us that little step up really reminds me that I am loved.
When was the last time you felt love?
