A few months ago my husband won a free portrait. It was supposed to be just the two of us, but when they called to schedule, they invited us to bring the whole family.
Today we all dressed up and drove an hour away to get our portrait taken. Our photographer, Andrea, was amazing. She handled us, with two teenagers, with kindness and care, but also with complete professionalism. The pictures she captured were amazing. It took a lot of work to choose.
Luckily, we had Caroline to walk us through and help us narrow it down. We could pick one of the whole family that gives us a little of our personalities. Then Caroline worked with us some more and we got one of the three kids and one of just me and my husband. And we got it all for the deposit we put down when we scheduled the appointment months ago.
Then, because we are not really a formal family, we decided to stop by Garden of the Gods to take some more. Ones that are a little more us. And one of our oldest for our family picture frame. That didn’t work out as well as I would have liked. It was difficult to look into the sun and make sure we were getting good pictures. But it was fun and a good addition to today’s story.
