Grounding and Stability

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position or lying down on your back. Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths, allowing your body to relax with each exhale. Feel the support of the ground beneath you, grounding you in this present moment.

Now, bring your attention to the sensation of your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Notice the rise and fall of your chest or the expansion and contraction of your abdomen with each inhale and exhale. Allow your breath to anchor you to the present moment, letting go of any thoughts or distractions.

Next, bring your awareness to the contact between your body and the surface beneath you. Feel the weight of your body pressing down into the ground, connecting you to the earth below. Imagine roots extending from your body, reaching deep into the earth’s core, providing you with stability and support.

With each breath, visualize these roots growing stronger and more resilient, anchoring you firmly to the ground. Feel yourself becoming more grounded and stable with each inhale and exhale, rooted in the present moment.

Now, bring your awareness to your surroundings. Notice any sounds, smells, or sensations in your environment without judgment or attachment. Allow yourself to fully experience the present moment, grounded in your body and connected to the world around you.

As you breathe deeply and mindfully, affirm to yourself: “I am grounded, stable, and connected to the earth. I am rooted in the present moment, with a strong foundation to support me.”

Take a few more deep breaths, allowing these affirmations to sink in, and when you’re ready, gently open your eyes.
